In recent years, Mozambican society has witnessed a notable growth of the Administrative Court of Mozambique (TA) as an external oversight body of the State, specifically the work of its 3rd section which focuses on the General State Account (CGE). In this respect, the TA has been one of the few institutions of integrity in Mozambique: the number of accounts it audits has increased (about 600 at present), exposed, in terms of contradictions and opinions, clear situations of diversion of funds and lack of transparency, and began last year to sanction public managers who do not comply with budgetary rules and even end up diverting money from the State, in addition to the effort to facilitate public access to their work.
