Since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Mineral Resources has been presenting proposals for a new Mining Law.
We are aware of three projects, the last one being published on the Ministry of Mineral Resources website with the date of August 31, 2012. It is on this preliminary project that our analysis falls.
This is not intended to be an exhaustive exercise, much less a technical analysis, as this is not part of the Law Observatory's objective. We only noted a few legal aspects that most caught our attention in this draft law.
