In Jornal Notícias dated 1 October 2012 the accounts for the financial year of 2011 of Barclays Bank are published.

On page 37 under item iii) which deals with Tax Benefits, the report alludes to the fact that the former Minister of Planning and Finance Luísa Dias Diogo, in a Dispatch dated November 2002, granted Barclays Bank “… the following tax benefits, for a period not exceeding 10 years, as of January 1, 2002:
