What is Mozambique's revenue from natural gas in the Rovuma Basin? Some claim it will be between US$4-5 billion per year by mid-2020. But the authors of these projections, namely, the Gas Master Plan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are now backing down. Realistic assumptions about the period of the first LNG exports and the pace of development of the necessary infrastructure suggest only about US$1.2 billion in 2026, without taking into account, yet, that many deductions from taxable income will reduce, yet more, what the oil companies will pay the Mozambican state.
