Theoretically, Direct Budget Support (ADO) is considered to have enormous potential to help countries dependent on external aid to achieve their development goals quickly and effectively, as this ADO can promote ownership. , transparency in the management of public finances and, above all, the deepening and operationalization of internal accountability structures. Is this happening in Mozambique? This article reflects on possible institutional and behavioral changes in the domain of internal accountability attributable to ADO.
