Ensuring the import of fuels in sufficient quantity and desirable quality, as well as at competitive prices, is a factor of strategic importance for the country's economic and social life. However, there is evidence that fuel imports are susceptible to corruption and mismanagement at key moments in the import cycle that produce additional costs for the already fragile economy.
The Public Integrity Center (CIP) carried out a study that diagnoses the management of liquid fuel imports in Mozambique, in the current context of the economic, political, financial and reputational crisis that the country is facing.
