Entitled “Gas Exports from Pande-Temane to South Africa: First large project in the extractive sector frustrates the expectations of Mozambicans”, in 2013, CIP published a report analyzing the first natural gas exploration project in Mozambique which resulted from an agreement between the Mozambican Government and the South African multinational Sasol, signed in 2000, in the form of the Petroleum Production Agreement (PPA). Analyzing the revenues of Sasol and the Mozambican state, this report covers the period from the start of production in 2004 to 2012.
