Mozambique regressed again in the Corruption Perception Index

0

Mozambique registers another drop in the Corruption Perception Index, according to the assessment made by the non-governmental organization Transparency International. For the Center for Public Integrity of Mozambique (CIP), these results demonstrate that the anti-corruption action in the country is not producing effects.

Although the country remained in the 157th position, achieved last year, Mozambique worsened its score, from 27 to 25 (100 points in a corruption-free country). This is the biggest drop in the country in two consecutive years since this index began to be produced and published in 1995.
