Daniel Chapo, governor of the province of Inhambane, in southern Mozambique, says he has lost confidence in the multinational Sasol. The Company, which has been exploring natural gas in the province of Inhambane since 2004, would not have fulfilled the promises of social responsibility it has made since it established itself in the region 14 years ago.
Chapo recalls that Sasol has promised to build several infrastructures. In 2017, the South African company assured the provincial government that it would rehabilitate the jetty in Maxixe, but it did not.
