The company Aeroportos de Moçambique, Public Company (ADM, EP), due to the type of activities it carries out, should be among the most profitable public companies in the country. However, according to the company's Annual Reports (from 2012 to 2016), it suffers from the disease that plagues most companies with State intervention, namely, accumulation of losses and signs of mismanagement.
The mismanagement of any public company represents a burden on the State Budget. In the case of ADM, in addition to adding losses that have been accumulating year after year, it represents a cost for public accounts in the present and will certainly be a burden for future generations. This is due to the high weight of long-term loans and in foreign currency1 for which the company does not generate sufficient resources to pay.
