From 2016 to 2017, cases of violations of press freedom and expression in Mozambique increased by 80%, according to MISA-Mozambique. This picture is due to “the political-military situation that the country is experiencing”.
The Institute for Social Communication of Southern Africa (MISA) and Mozambican journalists have no doubts: press freedom and expression have regressed in the country.
