Montepuez Ruby Mining Limitada (MRM) is a company incorporated as a limited liability company between Gemfields Mauritius, Lda and Mwiriti, Limitada1. The company has authorization2 to explore Rubies, Marine Waters, Grenades and Tourmalines for a period of 25 years.
The concession was authorized by the Government of Mozambique through the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy in 2011 (mining concessions 4702C and 4703C) and subsequently reissued in 2015 for amalgamation of concessions under Law 14/2002 of 26 June, Laws no. 11 and 13/2007 of June 27 and its regulations.
