Medicines increasingly scarce in public pharmacies

0

Public pharmacies, normally installed in health units, register, with each passing day, an increasingly accentuated lack of medicines considered essential, a reality that represents a real attack on public health.
It is an old reality and can be seen in several public pharmacies across the country and, in search of more systematized elements in relation to this issue, the Center for Public Integrity (CIP) decided to carry out a study in the National Health Service.
As such, the findings indicate that there is even a serious shortage of medicines in public pharmacies.
And the reasons, according to the study carried out in 12 districts in the provinces of Sofala, Zambézia and Nampula, are limited to issues related to the poor management of the pharmaceutical sector, as well as the lack of accountability of employees whose practices result in losses in the availability of medicines in the sector.
