For the third consecutive year, Mozambique once again registered a drop in Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index (CPI). As has been happening in recent years, this new consecutive fall cannot be dissociated from the ever-present issue of illegal debts (commonly called "hidden") in which the country finds itself immersed and the inability shown by the judiciary to hold suspects accountable for your practice.
What is observed is that, since 2016, the year in which the debts were discovered, the country's position in the CPI has been experiencing a sharp drop.
