The National Organization of Mozambican Teachers (ONP), with the support of the Center for Public Integrity (CIP), produced in 2010 a regulatory instrument for the Ethics and Professional Deontology of Mozambican Teachers, called the Code of Conduct. The ONP made him aware of the responsibilities that fall on teachers, in the promotion and dissemination of scientific knowledge, based on the value and dignity of man and, above all, in promoting the importance of seeking the truth and defending and promoting citizenship.
In the context of what is recommended in the Collaboration Protocol signed between the CIP and the ONP, on April 9, 16 and 18, 2019, seminars were held on the socialization and massification and dissemination of the Code of Conduct. The seminars took place in the provinces of Zambézia (Quelimane city), Inhambane city and Gaza (Xai-Xai). 62 teachers participated in the meetings, of which 45%, of the trainees were teachers. Participants came from different provincial districts.
The main objective of these trainings is to replicate and spread good practices in terms of transparency, combating corruption and teachers' integrity in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities towards society.
