The Mozambican Government must take seriously the monitoring of the operations of mining companies, in order to constrain any possibility of manufacturing results, as well as thorough control of incurred costs and demanded by companies exploring mineral resources in the country, in order to ensure that they pay what they owe, effectively to the State, at the risk of resources being exploited but bringing a reduced fiscal contribution, despite the existence of quite ambitious projections. There is ample evidence, reinforced by the Administrative Court, that there is practically no regulation in the extractive sector.
