The significant discoveries of natural gas reserves in the Rovuma basin in Cabo Delgado are accompanied by huge expectations of structural transformation of the economy and improvement in the population's well-being. However, the effective guarantee of benefits from the exploitation of these resources for the country largely depends on the adoption of good practices and concrete strategies to maximize gains in the sector.

In this context, the CIP organized a training session for Assistant Technicians of the Provincial Assembly of Cabo Delgado, between the 23rd and 24th of May 2019, at the Hotel Raphael in Pemba, with the aim of contributing to a greater and better intervention. members of the Provincial Assembly of Cabo Delgado, in the inspection and monitoring activities of extractive sector projects in the province, through adequate technical assistance.
