In the Mozambican criminal legal system there is no law that deals with the recovery and management of assets. As a way to fill this gap, it needs to be approved urgently. The information from the Attorney General presented annually to the Assembly of the Republic (AR) for the last three years (2016, 2017 and 2018) shows very low levels of asset recovery during the preparatory instruction phase that is directed by the Ministry Public (MP).
