Jean Boustani is not guilty of any of the 3 crimes he was accused of, declared 12 of the 15 members of the jury today in Brooklyn Court.
Boustani was charged with three counts of conspiracy to defraud investors, conspiracy to commit fraud by electronic means and conspiracy to launder money.
The members of the jury declare that Boustani is not guilty of any of the 3 crimes.
The decision that Boustani is innocent is not subject to appeal which means that he must be restored to liberty.
After the jury's decision, Boustani hugged each of the 5 members of his defense team and burst into tears. People in the audience following the trial – apparently from Boustani's acquaintances – began to cry.
