When Filipe Nyusi was first sworn in as President of the Republic on January 15, 2015, he and his children had 5 business records. After five years, when he took office for his second term, the number of companies in the Nyusi family grew to 14.
Many of the companies are not located in the households listed in the Republic's Bulletins (and are also not listed in the telephone directories in Mozambique) which may be an indicator that they may be “James Bond” companies, they have commercial records, but they never left the paper, probably awaiting strategic partners who can bring in capital and expertise enough for them to come out of the paper.
