The President of the Republic (PR), Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, ordered, in March 2020, the interruption of the functioning of educational establishments (public and private), and the measure should cover pre-school to university levels to face the dangers infection with the new coronavirus or Covid-19. It so happens that some private education establishments have insisted on continuing to charge tuition fees, as if they were operating in a situation of normality prior to taking the aforementioned measure. It should be noted that guardians are not required, by law, to pay tuition while their students do not benefit from the delivery of classes in person, as agreed, even if for force majeure reasons that do not need to be demonstrated , as it is a well-known fact.
