The Center for Public Integrity (CIP) comes to express its deep concern over the fire at the premises where the independent newspaper Canal de Moçambique operates, which destroyed all the editorial equipment, administration archives and various material found there. According to the editor of Canal de Moçambique, Matias Guente, the fire was caused by gallons of fuel introduced and set on fire inside the premises on the ground floor of a four-story building, located at Avenida Maguiguana, number 107, in heart of Maputo City, which can be supposed to be a criminal act.
