The most up-to-date report on the use of funds within the scope of Covid-19 (6th Report) released by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), which refers to the status of COVID funds up to the month of January 2021 , presents, in addition to the initially foreseen needs, new data referring to the support to six (6) public companies. In January of the current year, these companies received global support of 366.15 million meticais, corresponding to USD 5.31 million..

The worrying factor is that no information was disclosed on the rationality, motivations, objectives, targets and specific areas in which this support was allocated to beneficiary public companies, which reveals the Government's lack of transparency in the management of these funds.
