Privinvest – a company that sold coastal protection equipment and services to the Mozambican government between 2013 and 2014 – confessed that it paid one million dollars to Filipe Nyusi, seven million dollars to Manuel Chang and 10 million dollars to the Frelimo party, in a long list from high hierarchies of the state that received illicit money from the hidden debts that sank the country.
The information is contained in a 157-page document signed by the owner of the naval company, Iskandar Safa, submitted to the English Superior Court of Justice, which judges the case of hidden debts in Mozambique. The document is dated January 15, 2021 and is a defense to the Mozambican State's indictment against Iskandar Safa and 11 other defendants.
