In his inaugural address for his second term at the head of the country's destinies, President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi elected as one of his priorities the “relentless” fight against corruption. It also elected, among other matters, public finance and the extractive industry as crucial areas for the country's development. But, as we are used to, his speech on combating corruption and promoting transparency was empty in terms of content, and without a mobilizing strategy that could lead Mozambicans to attack this phenomenon (corruption) which has been a of the main causes of the country's continued underdevelopment.
