Faced with a global pandemic that forces governments to launch new spending measures, the latest open budget survey of the International Budget Partnership, and in Mozambique implemented by the Center for Public Integrity, shows that Mozambique had a score of only 42 out of 100, which means that the country provides insufficient budget information.

According to the new report, Mozambique has virtually stagnated in terms of disseminating important information that can help the public understand budget policies, decisions and outcomes.

With regard to public participation, the country obtained a score of 11 out of 100 and in terms of oversight in the budget process, the score was 50 out of 100, an increase of 13 points justified by the Assembly of the Republic's effort to make more documents available. related to its budget oversight activities.
