This paper outlines the methodology for the 4^th edition of the Extractive Sector Transparency Index (ITSE) developed by the Center for Public Integrity (CIP). The objective of the index is to assess transparency within Mozambique’s extractive sector through a thorough evaluation of various transparency measures in critical areas such as corporate governance principles, the organizations’ taxation approach, greenhouse gas emissions, as well as social aspects including human rights.
